Meet Sunshine and SeeHawk, a couple of quirky opposites, united by their wish to hike America’s Continental Divide Trail from Canada to Mexico in one straight shot. Mother Nature must cooperate for them to succeed, or it might be up to Sunshine, depending on who’s in charge.

AUTHOR

Sunshine MacGregor Ferrell has spent 20 years reconstructing her entire 3,100-mile journey along America’s Continental Divide Trail. By spinning streams-of-consciousness into shareable words, she has turned all the sensations of downpouring rain, majestic sunlight, and human conversations into a trilogy conveying the full experience, in real time.

Sunshine’s interest in storytelling began at UCLA, where she studied Creative Writing, while earning a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences. Her varied career has included video production, scriptwriting, spearheading a World Fusion band, songwriting, producing two music albums, and performing solo as a Scottish bagpiper.

During 2020, Racing the Clouds got funded on Kickstarter, enabling Sunshine to print the First Edition of Book 1 (small batch available on Amazon.com). Sunshine is still busy polishing Books 2 and 3, after which the trilogy will be officially released for worldwide distribution.
