How Much Money is Needed?
Your 1x donation of $10K will cover printing 140 Full-Color trilogies and shipping them to 70 separate Senior Homes. (This is at-cost, and author will assemble, pack and ship all books to each location.)
Why is the Author’s Cost Almost $24/book?
Estimated per-book cost is based on a batch-print of 200 high-quality 6×9 books, containing 350-400 pages each, and several pages of Full-Color Photo Inserts per book, plus percentage paid to Kickstarter for hosting the campaign, plus cost of packaging and SHIPPING the books to each senior home.
Why Kickstarter?
Use of this public platform allows for individual backers (reached through social-media and Kickstarter) to contribute additional books to more Senior Homes after Flagship Sponsor gets the ball rolling. In case this donation effort becomes popular, the author could only handle such pledges through a well-organized platform like Kickstarter.
Can My Company Contribute Less Than $10K and Still Get Some Nice PR?
For simplicity, and in order to maximize PR potency, it would be ideal to secure one Exclusive Sponsor. However, a Group of Companies could conceivably team-up and split the donation (for instance, 10 companies each donating $1K, or 5 companies each donating $2K); in this scenario, all gratitude posts and pages described above would feature logos and links from all 10 companies.

If I Donate Just $1K, How Many Seniors Will I Support?
7 senior homes x 6 books (2 trilogies) x low estimate of 100 residents per senior home = at least 420 seniors during any given year (plus more as the years go on).
